    Café Scientifique

Stardust's Prof Massimiliano Vasile will be delivering a lecture at 19h on Monday 02nd February on "Asteroids: threat or opportunity?"

Asteroids are a large group of celestial objects with the most intriguing variety of shapes, orbits, composition, gravity fields. Professor Massimiliano Vasile of Strathclyde’s Advanced Space Concepts Laboratory considers why we are interested in these objects, how we can control their motion and whether they represent a threat or an opportunity.

Café Scientifique is a place where, for the price of a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, anyone can come to explore the latest ideas in science and technology. Meetings take place in cafes, bars, restaurants and even theatres, but always outside a traditional academic context.

Glasgow's Café Scientifique is hosted in the Victorian Bar in the Tron Theatre on the first Monday of the month.

All of the events are free to attend, and there’s no need to register in advance.
